Jon Hancock is a rising 3L at The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. 

• During his 2L year, he served as President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society 
• He was selected to serve as Senior Articles Editor for the upcoming Volume 55 of The University of Memphis Law Review in his 2L year.  
• After his 1L year, he externed with the Shelby County Office of the Public Defender.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Jon attended The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), where he received his B.S. in Social Science Education in 2018 and M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2020. Before he began his legal studies, he taught middle and high school in Tuscaloosa and Memphis. His wife, Emma, is a medical student at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. In his spare time, Jon enjoys reading, hiking, and watching football.
